একটি ঘড়িতে 10 মিনিটের অ্যালার্ম দিয়ে রাখো । নিচে 255 টি শব্দ দেওয়া হল । 10 মিনিটের মধ্যে এই 255 টি শব্দ লেখার চেষ্টা করো । একটু বেশি দিলাম এর কারণ হলো পরীক্ষাতে নার্ভাসনেস কাজ করবে এবং তখন টাইপ স্পীড একটু হলেও কমবে । তাই এখন থেকে একটু বেশি ওয়ার্ড তোমাদের প্র্যাকটিস করতে হবে । এই এক মাসে আমরা একটু একটু করে ওয়ার্ড কাউন্ট বাড়াবো । যাতে পরীক্ষা আসতে আসতে 10 মিনিটে তোমরা অন্তত 300 টি শব্দ লিখে আসতে পারো ।
যারা একদম প্রথম প্রথম লিখতে বসবে হতেই পারে প্রথমবারে 10 মিনিটে তোমরা 150 ওয়ার্ড লিখতে পারলে , তাই বলে হতাশ হবে না । আবার লিখবে দেখবে নিশ্চয় হবে আর একটু বেশি ।তবে হাল ছাড়লে চলবে না । রোজ নিয়ম করে অন্তত দুবার লেখা প্র্যাক্টিস করতেই হবে ।
কয়েকটি বিষয় মনে রাখতে হবে
১.বেশি ব্যাকস্পেস ব্যবহার করা যাবে না ।
২. বানান ভুল বেশি করা যাবে না ।
৩.কনফিডেন্ট থাকবে ,হতে পারে পরীক্ষা হলে ঢুকলে এক্সাম শুরু হলো আর চারিদিক থেকে প্রচুর শব্দ হতে শুরু করলো । ঘাবড়ে যাবে না। কারোর দিকে না তাকিয়ে লিখতে শুরু করো ।ঠিক হয়ে যাবে।
৪. অনেক ক্ষেত্রে শোনা গেছে ,যে স্ক্রিপ্ট টা দেওয়া হয় লেখার জন্য সেটাতে কিছু বানান ভুল থাকতে পারে ,কিন্তু কখনোই সেগুলো শুধরে লিখতে যাবে না। যা লেখা আছে সেটাই লিখবে ।
The career of a civil servant is not one which
appeals to the man of ambition, in the popular sense of the term. The majority of men, at any rate, compromise in their choice of career between ambition and security.
Reasonable—some say unreasonable security the civil servant certainly has. He is spared the kind of anxiety which too often becomes the destroyer of contentment in many other walks of life. There is no ‘boss' to dismiss him in a fit of temper, no practice to lose through ill-health or ill-luck, no shareholder to satisfy, no bankruptcy to face
through caprices of the market or some uncontrollable turn of events. On the contrary, grave misdemeanours apart, he is assured of an adequate livelihood rising to comfort in a modest style ; he can look forward to retirement, with a not ungenerous pension, before he is worn out and in time to enjoy a tranquil evening of life. As for ambition, his lot is, at least, not one of frustration no blank, unscalable walls confront his endeavours.
With reasonable industry and ability, he can expect to earn regular promotion upto such limits as his talents merit. The influence he exerts will never be spectacular, but for a good many men there is more attraction in becoming a power behind the throne than in occupying the throne itself, for this is a power of kind which may give great inward satisfaction and may even minister to inward vanity but without the risk of a neck breaking fall.
